Features
As it ages, garage door weather seal will fade in colour and begin to crack, reducing it's effectiveness in keeping out dust, leaves and rodents. Revitalize the look of your door and protect your home from unwanted vermin by installing new seal on your door.
This weatherseal has been the same seal in use since the 70's.
Suitability & Measurements
This Weather Seal measures 56mm wide, with the flat 'T' section measuring 6mm wide. Please note that your seal may measure smaller due to shrinkage over the years.
To ensure that you order the correct seal, cut a small piece of weatherseal from the tracks on the bottom of your door and compare it to the images on our listing. If you are not sure, please send a photo through that is similar to the below example. Please note that we cannot tell from photos of the seal still in the tracks, or any other angle other than the below as we need to see the profile.

Installation
There is no official way to install weatherseal. However, over the years we have a number of tips to help you install your garage door seal. Please note that when cleaning your tracks out, do not use a hose, as you can accidentally splash your garage door opener.
1. Fill a bucket with warm, soapy water. Soak your new seal in this for 5-10 minutes.
2. Whilst soaking the seal, remove all fragments of the old seal from your door
3. Using a damp rag, clean out any dirt or grime from the bottom track.
4. Gently feed the now-pliable garage door seal into the bottom grooves.
If you have the correct seal and throuroughly cleaned the tracks, the garage door seal will slide in smoothly.
